Impact as a Driving Force at Our Majority Owner Trill Impact’s Annual Investor Meeting

Last week, Sustera’s majority owner, Trill Impact, hosted its annual meeting for investors, colleagues, and portfolio company representatives at the iconic Operaterassen in the heart of Stockholm. This was Trill’s fourth annual meeting, and Sustera participated for the third time.

At the event, portfolio companies showcased their operations and impact work while networking with other stakeholders. Our Group CEO, Tuomas, also shared updates about Sustera on stage. The day was full of collaboration and insights, reflecting on the past year of company activities.

While the portfolio companies’ operations vary widely, the theme of impact is deeply embedded in each of them, driven by genuine ambition. This work goes beyond traditional ESG considerations to focus on making a positive, lasting societal impact. A key goal is to bring added value not only to our service customers but also to our own business.

One of the highlights of the meeting was gaining a clearer understanding of how companies have managed to concretize and measure their impact efforts. Last year’s focus was on defining what impact means for companies. This year, we saw actual results and data from these efforts.

For Sustera, the reported metrics included the number of environmental certifications, and the number of surveys and inspections conducted. While many companies are already measuring their impact, all are now working on deepening their efforts at Trill’s request. For us, this includes for example measuring our carbon handprint and incorporating it into the key metrics of our impact work. To advance this, work will continue in smaller groups in both Finland and Sweden, allowing us to further refine how we measure and demonstrate the impact of our services. Ultimately, through collective effort, we can achieve the greatest impact.
