Stenvreten 8:37 – Ambitious New Logistics Development with Strong Sustainability Focus

The project was characterised by high climate ambitions. It is part of the Stendörren Fastigheter’s long-term strategy to reduce the environmental impact of its property portfolio.

About the Project

In Enköping, Stendörren Fastigheter has developed Stenvreten 8:37 – a state-of-the-art logistics facility with a clear focus on sustainability. The building is certified as both BREEAM Outstanding and ZeroCO2, showcasing the exceptionally high sustainability standards achieved in the project.

Sustera’s Role

Sustera was responsible for leading the certification process for both BREEAM and ZeroCO2. Our responsibility was to ensure that the building met all the criteria of these leading environmental certifications, and to support the project team in selecting low-impact solutions with low climate impact.

Thanks to close and solution-oriented collaboration among the project stakeholders, the certifications were completed as planned – with the remarkable result of BREEAM Outstanding, the highest possible level.

“The most rewarding part of my role as BREEAM Assessor for the Stenvreten 8:37 project has been seeing how the team committed to meeting all BREEAM requirements and challenges with great dedication and a strong drive to find smart, sustainable solutions.
Since this was also one of the first projects under BREEAM-SE v. 6, we had the opportunity to dive into new criteria and working methods in pursuit of the top certification level.
It was also rewarding to be involved in the ZeroCO2 certification process and to witness how deliberate decisions were made to reduce the building’s climate impact.”
